Dinner meeting with Prof Dr Mudatthir Abdel Rahim, Dr Salleh Barzaed (CEO of NAMA Foundation) and Dr Ramzy Khalid (UM).
Prof Mudatthir is the author of the book ” HR in the Islamic Tradition ” the Malay version was produced by ACCIN in 2014. He was in IKIM, then IIUM, Istac and UIM for 23 years before leaving for Sudan 6 years ago.
“I’m a refugee” he says having fled Khartoum 2 weeks ago with his family, avoiding the civil war that has reached casualties of more than 100k. ( muslims vs muslims instigated by outside powers).
His family locked the hse door in Khartoum and made their way in a small car thru militia chkpoints to Port of Sudan. Then took a ship to Jeddah and safety. Flew into KL last week with a 90-day visa.
“How sweet and refreshing peace and tranquility is in the air here in KL”. Something we all take for granted.
