Time: 8.00am-5.30pm
Venue : Adamson Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
Organized by : Allied Coordinating Council of Islamic NGOs Malaysia – ACCIN
The family institution is the foundation for the formation of a harmonious, ethical, and resilient society. In the fast-paced era of globalisation and the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, widespread use of gadgets and unfettered flow of negative and damaging information, the family institution faces various new challenges. Change in methods of communication, parental roles, unlimited access to information, and social pressures make the role of religion, moral values, and education increasingly important in maintaining family stability. Therefore, this program is designed to strengthen the understanding and role of the family institution in facing the challenges of a technology-driven modern world.
The Officiating Address was delivered by YB Senator Datuk Dr. Fuziah binti Salleh, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, titled ‘The Family Institution in Light of a Rapidly Changing Technology and AI-driven World: Impact on Character, Moral and Values’.
Opening address was by Hj Ir Mohd Jamaludin Shamsudin, Conference Chairman and CEO of ACCIN, which was followed by the Keynote Address from Prof. Dr. Syed Khairuddin Al-Junid (NUS Singapore).
It was attended by 120 people which included 9 speakers and participants. The conference was also livestreamed on ACCIN Malaysia’s Facebook page.
