The Allied Coordinating Council of Islamic NGOs Malaysia (ACCIN), a coalition of twenty NGOs, like the rest of the world is shocked and appalled by an Israeli Minister’s urging to use nuclear weapons to exterminate the Palestinians in Gaza. This senseless call amidst the genocide currently conducted by the colonial apartheid Tel Aviv regime on the helpless civilians of Gaza, seventy percent of whom are women and children, is in its 32nd day.
The shocking comments, made by Israeli Minister of Heritage, Amichai Eiyahu regarding the use of nuclear weapons to exterminate Palestinians in the Gaza Strip is made whilst the genocidal Israeli forces run berserk in Gaza while at the same time being fearful of facing the Hamas freedom fighters..
Nuclear weapon possession is a morally repugnant act that makes it impossible for nations and people to live in peace with one another and provides a pathway towards the eradication of humanity.
A brief comparison between the war in Ukraine and Gaza will reveal the severity of civilian casualties in Gaza. The data is verified by OHCHR. In Ukraine for the duration of 563 days from the day the war started, there were 9614 civilians dead and 17,535 injured. In Gaza over 30 days of relentless bombings by Israeli forces, 10,055 civilians died and 25000 injured.
The remark by Eliyahu, a member of an extreme far right party of Prime Minister’s far right minority government, who appeared to express openness to the idea of Israel carrying out a nuclear strike on Gaza had raised a huge number of questions.
Asked in a radio interview about a hypothetical nuclear option, Eliyahu had replied: “That’s one way.”
This has raised a huge number of questions. Israel has appeared to have admitted openly that it has nuclear weapons. Israel does not publicly acknowledge it has nuclear weapons though the Federation of American Scientists estimates Israel has about 90 nuclear warheads.
It turns out that the world is hearing official statements about the presence of Israeli nuclear weapons.
If so, then where are the International Atomic Energy Agency and international nuclear inspectors? Israel is not a member of the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty as before this, it pretends to not have nuclear weaponry.
Eliyahu’s remark drew condemnation from around the world, especially the Arab nations, scandalised mainstream Israeli broadcasters and calls by concerned nations for a swift international response.
ACCIN calls for an immediate action of the world community to disarm Israel of its nuclear weapons. Being the only state that has nuclear weapons in the middle east and the whole of Africa. Israel and the US even went all out to the extent of bombing suspected nuclear enrichment plants in Iran and yet it has a huge nuclear arsenal of its own that can endanger not only the whole region but the world at large.
Israel has time and again shown by its actions that it does not want even a two state solution. This is exemplified by the continuing building of illegal settlements on Palestinian land and the recent shameless unveiling of a map by Nethanyahu in the UN General Assembly showing the nation of greater Israel without a Palestinian state..
As the US foreign policy in the middle east is completely controlled by Tel Aviv and its lobby in Washington, allow us to suggest that the US allocate a piece of land in its vast midlands for a Zionist Jewish state to live happily ever after and leave the long suffering middle east in peace.
This is not an outlandish proposal but one that was actually discussed after the Balfour Declaration 1917 to form a Zionist Jewish state in the heart of the US.
