ACCIN Stands In Solidarity Condemning Terrorist Attack In Christchurch, New Zealand

ACCIN vehemently condemns the atrocity by cowardly Neo-Nazi terrorist attack on our brothers and sisters at the Al-Noor Mosque and Linwood Mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand.

These terrorists had 5 guns, void of mercy even opened fire upon a 4-year-old girl who is now critically injured, a 17-year-old Malaysian boy is still missing and killed many others during Friday prayers. The death toll is on the rise and currently, 50 Muslims are martyred. 34 victims remain hospitalized in the Christchurch Hospital and 12 are in critical condition. Christchurch police has also discovered 2 undetonated bombs.

The world now sees a powerful image of Muslims injured, lying on back on the stretcher with his index finger raised high, as a declaration of his faith and complete trust in Allah.

The terrorist intention to destroy a peaceful community has backfired. In fact, the atrocity has united people of different faiths to visit the Mosques to stand in solidarity. Furthermore, this horrific act has Martyred our fellow Muslims and will be raised as the most righteous and pious of Muslims.

ACCIN believes that is it fitting and agrees with New Zealand Prime Ministers calling this as an act of terrorism. Contrary to most western government would paint such an incident as an act by a ‘lone gunman’ when perpetrated by a Caucasian person.

In Islam, whether at peace or at war, places of worship is respected and cannot be intruded or destroyed.ACCIN truly appreciate our Christian and Buddhist friends standing with us in solidarity. Together we respect each other’s houses of worship.
We reject all forms of hate speech against any religion. We believe to maintain peace and harmony, the rule of law must be swiftly executed.

This heinous tragedy has strengthened ACCINs resolve to promote interfaith friendships and expand our mission of peace internationally. Terrorism and hate has no religion.
Waalaikumusalam wbt & Thank you.
