The solidarity with Kashmir day was held at the Pakistan High Commission to highlight the plight of the Indian occupied muslim majority Jammu and Kashmir since 1947.
One of the pertinent points emphasized by the speakers that include Cik Azmi Abdul Hamid – MAPIM, Ir Mohd Jamaludin ( MJ)- ACCIN dan Dr Ramlan Arshad- UITM is the need to highlight the plight of the Kashmiris which is a best kept secret.
Dr Ramlan when surveyed the issue of Kashmir to 500 of his students, most said it was the site of Bollywood movies. Only a few knew about the crisis there.
These ignorance need to be rectified soon so that justice can be upheld in Kashmir with the support of the international community.
It is urgent that we all briefly research this subject and create awareness amongst family, friends and the public
